Do you like watching Pitbulls and Parolees? If you like this show, you may wonder what happened to the cast members, one of them is Armando. Here, we will inform you what we found about Armando.
The Things That Happened to Armando
We tried to search the information about Armando, a cast member from Pitbulls and Parolees. However, there is not much information that we get. According to the information that we got from VC Star, Armando Galindo is featured on Pitbulls and Parolees, the program which follows Tia Torres and the ex-cons that she hires to take care for the pit bulls that she saves in her Villalobos Rescue Center in Agua Dulce.
Not many people know that Armando has a more important role in real life than on reality tv because he is a father who tries to keep a promise that he made to his son named Tommy. Armando was on account of serving four years for forgery. He entered prison by the usual route. Then Armando was transferred to Cuesta Conservation Camp. There, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection personnel train convicts to fight wildfires. In November 2007, his crew was sent to Ventura County to battle fires in the coastal canyons.
When Armando was in the base camp at Camarillo Airport, he looked up to see something that made his heart race. He found his son through two dozen fire engines, six bulldozers and 800 firefighters. His son, Tommy, who was 11 years old at that time, was there together with a church group who delivered pies to the firefighters. Armando broke the rules and he ran to hug his son that he had not seen in two years. At that time, Armando said that he loved Tommy and he would see him soon. Once, they had seen a lot of each other where they played video games together and even Armando coached Tommy’s Little League team.
In May 2008, Armando was paroled. Not long after that, he met again with his son and he spent a few days together with him. Their reunion went well. However, there was something which made Armando sad. He did not have a job and there was no place which hired him as an ex con. There was a lot of negativity that he got just because he was an ex con and it made him think that he cannot be successful. But then, he found a new chance in his life when he was told about Torress at a job fair for parolees. He was told that Torres hires parolees to take care of the pit bulls that she rescues and rehabilitates.
Armando did not know much about dogs but he would do anything that he could there. Then, he was interviewed by Torres and she liked what she saw. Torres said that she was interested in him because he embraced his former criminal life and it did not make no excuses for his poor behaviour.
When Armando worked there, he picked up pit bull poop. Also, he was learning how to take care of dogs that had been treated improperly such as being abused, neglected or forced into dogfighting. Armando believed that convicts and pit bulls are a good mix. At that time, Armando made an almost two-hour commute to working. Armando and the parolee crew feed, groom and help train more than 250 dogs.
When he got a role in Pit bulls and Parolees, he said that it was a bonus. Initially, he was nervous to be on that show because there were cameras watching him. But after a while, he forgot that there were cameras with him. On an episode of that show, he was shown bathing Shaggy, the pit bull.
Then, Armando enjoyed his minor celebrity status in ‘Nard. After that, another thing happened where Tommy, his son, joined him at Villalobos ranch for volunteer days and Tommy wrote an essay for his language arts class about the rights of dogs.
Torres said that the dogs made Armando a better man. She said that she has seen Armando bite his tongue a lot more. She also has seen him put into positions here that normally would have made him go off on someone, but now he smiles and walks away. Tommy also told Torres that his dad is spending a lot of time with him and Armando successfully completed his parole. Nevertheless, Armando admitted that his struggles to begin afresh were far from over.
Well, that’s the information that we got about Armando before he joined Villalobos and while he was there. Now, let’s check out more about the show itself entitled Pit Bulls and Parolees.
